Austin Visit

We had a pretty big weekend this past weekend with all 4 nieces and both of Michael's sisters coming to visit! We obviously see them all the time when we visit Dallas, but this time, they came to our neck of the woods. Katie had a conference here, and since Josh was out of town, Lisa decided to tag along. We had a really fun time!
Friday Michael had to work and Katie was at her conference, so Lisa and I took the girls down the road to the Wildflower Center. I haven't ever been and it was a really fun place and actually really kid-friendly. Plus the weather was really nice making it even more enjoyable.

Friday night was movie night and we of course watched Frozen. I have no idea how, but even though all of those girls have seen that movie about 100 times, they still are enthralled and watch it as though its their first time ever seeing it! Pretty ridiculous.

Saturday morning, we all went to the Children's museum and then came home to make pizza for lunch. The 3 bigger girls had a lot of fun "decorating" their own little mini pizzas. The rest of the day we just played around the house, the little girls took naps, big girls did some crafts, and then we ended the afternoon at the park in our neighborhood. The one big sad thing of the weekend was that we tried to go swimming Saturday evening, but our pool key was broken. Somehow, everyone survived and were able to swim in the little kiddie pool in the backyard instead.

I love Lizzy's face in this one!

They went to church with us on Sunday and then headed home. We were very tired after everyone left and realized how quiet it is around here! It was such a fun and busy weekend and I loved having them all here! Can't wait to see those little loves again :)

New Bathroom

Our guest bathroom finally got itself a little makeover!
Nothing too huge, but its amazing what a little bit of paint and some new decor can do to totally change the entire look and feel of a room. This bathroom used to kinda stress me out a little bit from the half-painted walls (who even does that!?) to the mis-matched shower curtain and rugs, it was looking sad.

But now, its looking preeetty good if I do say so myself!

I love love the wooden flower thing (or whatever its called). That might be my favorite part of the whole thing! At some point, I hope to change out some of the fixtures and maybe even the cabinet, but for now, I love it!
