Weekend with the Nieces

We moved to a new house about 2 weeks ago (more on that later) and that weekend, we kept all 4 nieces while their parents went to a marriage conference here in Austin. Let me just say, it was crazy busy, but we had SUCH a fun time.

We played at the park, went swimming in the backyard, had a movie night (with the 2 older girls), went to the children's museum, painted nails, and even made an appearance at Lucy's birthday party!

I mean are they the cutest kids ever or what??

I hope we can do it again!

Weekend in the Country!

Apparently we have a tradition the past several years of traveling over memorial day weekend, so this year we went to visit Aunt Nina in Kilgore! We had such a fun time, their place is pretty awesome. We fished, rode the 4-wheeler, slept late, ate some amazing food, and generally relaxed. I can't wait to go back.
There were 3 duck nests on the pond that Michael got to check and there were a bunch of eggs!

Gaius was confused about why we were all so excited about the fish, when they were off the hook jumping around, it kinda freaked him out. It was hilarious

Michael learned how to clean that catfish he caught, and we fried it up for dinner. Soo yummy!

These next few are some pics of their land, its just beautiful out there!

backyard, pond is down there at the tree-line

Vegetable Garden!
Flower garden off the side porch, we sat here every morning for about an hour watching the birds, and just enjoying the view.
