New House

We moved!!

We bought a new house closer to church, friends, etc and we have been here about 5 weeks now. We love it! Its different from our old house because its a little bigger, one story, and has 4 bedrooms. Gaius is still getting used to it, but we really love it. We close on our old house on Tuesday, and let me just say that selling a house is WAY easier than buying one. We are planning on staying here a good long time :).

So here's a tour of the empty house right before we moved in:

Since moving in we have:
Painted a LOT (living room, hallway, kitchen, office)
        The colors in the living room were just really terrible (pink and red) and were a beast to paint, but it was SO worth it! Both my family and Michael's parents came and helped us out a ton with the painting. We could not have done it all without them. I love love the new color scheme. Basically its mostly greens, and I chose 1 paint swatch then used several shades from the same swatch. The cool thing is that it has a lot of grey undertones so at various times of the day it looks more green, or blue, or grey. Pretty cool, and very calming.
Bought 3 new rugs (there is no carpet anywhere except 2 bedrooms)
Taken off wallpaper in both the kitchen and office
Done a good amount of decorating in the living room and started a little in the office (curtains, new desk for MG, bought some misc furniture, hang up crosses, etc)

When I type it all out it doesn't seem like a lot but we have been super busy and it seems like my project list right now is never ending. The fun part is that I have a whole new house to decorate and do some fun projects in! My next big one is trying to get pictures on the walls and do some decorating work in the kitchen. Hopefully I will get some more pictures and updates up soon!
